Reporting an error

TailLookup reflects public FAA and NTSB records verbatim. If a record here disagrees with the underlying government source, the source prevails — please also report the discrepancy to the FAA or NTSB. To flag an error on our end, email records@taillookup.com with the tail number and the specific field.

Personal-information removal

We publish only what the FAA releases in its public registry, limited to registrant name and city/state — never street address, phone, or email. Under the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024, aircraft owners may ask the FAA to withhold their personal information from the public registry. When the FAA removes a registrant’s details from its published file, our daily snapshot reflects that removal and the information is suppressed here going forward; we do not resurface withheld data from earlier snapshots.

To request removal directly, email privacy@taillookup.com with the tail number and a description of the information. We aim to respond within five business days.

What we do not publish

Street addresses, contact details, and any registrant information the FAA has withheld for privacy.
